Orange integrates Augtera Network AI platform to its NOC tools to leverage AI/ML in daily network operations. This will reduce Network Operation Centers alarms by 70% and prevent failures.

SONiC and Network AIOps

This Network AIOps resource addresses SONiC NetOps / Network Management, including:

  • SONiC Introduction
  • Network AIOps overview

Network AIOps is a next generation approach to monitoring, observability, & real-time anomaly detection, mitigation, and repair.

Augtera Networks is a Dell Technologies partner for Dell’s Enterprise SONiC distribution.

Introduction

Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC) is a project of the Open Computing Project (OCP). It is a Linux-based network operating system supported by multiple vendors and ASICs. Initiated as a project internal to Microsoft, the original target was a solution for data centers. Now, solution providers like Dell Technologies are having success with many use cases.

On April 14th 2022, the Linux Foundation announced ‘”We are pleased to welcome SONiC to the Linux Foundation family of open networking projects,” said Arpit Joshipura, general manager, Networking, Edge, and IoT, the Linux Foundation. “SONiC is a leader in open source data center NOS deployments, and we’re looking forward to growing its developer community.”‘

The Linux Foundation will primarily focus on the software component of SONiC, while continuing to partner with the Open Compute Platform (OCP) on aligning hardware, and specifications like SAI.

Network AIOps for SONiC

Successful SONiC NetOps depends on effective network operations, network management, and automation. Network AIOps is a next generation solution that includes monitoring and observability, but goes well beyond that. It incorporates ML models that replace noisy thresholds, correlation across multiple data sources to group related information together, and a network model that effectively identifies an incident root.

In addition to those capabilities, Augtera Networks Network AI offers:

  • Customer-driven policy-based analysis and action
  • 9+ network-specific AI/ML algorithms
  • Real-time natural language processing of logs
  • A multivendor, multilayer, topology-aware, network model that is auto-correlated
  • Noiseless ticketing automation.

Augtera Networks also supports vendor-supplied network operating systems from Arista Networks, Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and any platform that supports industry standards.

Partnership

Industry leading network operations / SONiC NetOps experience from Dell Technologies and Augtera Networks, incorporating the best of AI in Networking.

The Augtera Networks platform is the first Network AIOps platform specifically built for Network Operations, including DevOps-oriented NetOps teams.
